Meeting called to order at 4:05 PM. Next meeting: November 8, 4 pm, The Academy.
Minutes of the October 11, 2010 meeting were approved.
Old Business
Updates to Form B’s
JB and SP met with two consultants on October 14 to discuss the scope of the Form B Project. The going rate for properties needing Form B’s is $15,000 per 60. However, the 122 Lenox properties need updating but much of work has been done. The budget is $7,800. Just one bid arrived. JB will call to get clarification on exactly what the bidders propose for their quote: $7,000. The Commission agreed that the firm looks good, meets our criteria, and would like the consultants to proceed as soon as possible.
Historic House Plaque Program
JB’s date plaque was approved at the Oct 19 HDC meeting. The HDC their intention of reviewing all signs in the HD. JB will add to plaque procedure that property owners supply a building photo and indicate where plaque will be placed. The HC will fill out sign applications and schedule hearings with the HDC.
Historic Street Name Signs
The Main Street sign is back in place after JB’s meeting with Frank Santilli from Spec-Lines. The HC is now awaiting word from Greg or Jeff Vincent at DPW about possible funding for the signs.
Update Board of Selectmen
JJ will present HC update at Select Board meeting in December. SP will show mock-up of proposed directional signs for BOS approval.
Gazebo
Discussion about how lack of sunlight on Gazebo Committee poses a problem to the best job getting done.
