The meeting was called to order at 4:00 p.m.
OLD BUSINESS
Westinghouse Street Lights Update – James provided the latest update. Replicas of Westinghouse lights will be made by Alloy Castings Co. in East Bridgewater, MA working with Speclines, a lighting tech company. Jim Biancolo is still working out the particulars with Speclines and Jeff Vincent at DPW. The reflector and light cover will be larger but all other design will be accurate.
MHC Workshop Preservation 201: Property Surveys - Monday April 27, 4:30-6:30 at the Wells Gallery, Lenox Library. James, Suzanne, Sharon and Ellie attended this educational seminar and learned how to prepare property surveys. More information is called for now than was recorded when the Historic District was established in 1979 and many property surveys were recorded.
Updating Historic District Surveys – James will review the list of Historic District properties and sort the entries according to what needs to be done. Several volunteers have indicated a willingness to help research correct dates and information.
Date Plaques Program – Ellie, Sharon and Suzanne will meet to put final copy together before next meeting.
NEW BUSINESS
Gundula offered to host a gathering of Historical Commission, Historic District Commission and Historical Society members at her house on June 10, 7-9 pm.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:00 pm.
