OLD BUSINESS
Westinghouse Streetlights – A Fundraising Committee has formed including Andrea and Suzanne plus Bob Brown (whose wife Marcia Brown spearheaded the protection/preservation of the Westinghouse lights in the 1980’s) and Pam Kueber, chair. Initial goal is to raise $25,000 from church St property owners to fund the engineering study that will produce an exact budget.

Expansion of Historic District –  Lavinia will call Chris Skelly to determine the advantages of an historic district to communicate to residents on Cliffwood St. to see if they have an interest. Lavinia will get a residents list from Town Hall. Historic District should also be expanded to include whole properties, not just first 150 feet from street.

Demolition Delay Bylaw  – This is on hold until we complete surveys of all historic properties.

NEW BUSINESS
New Meeting time  4 p.m. still on 2nd Monday, September through June.

Church on the Hill Renovation  in progress despite lack of hearing before Historic District Commission. This is a National Register building and we believe it should not be getting new siding. How could this have been allowed to happen.

HDC Meetings Posted Andrea will meet with Greg Federspiel about postings on town web site.

Date Plaques   Lavinia will continue to look into how to make these available to property owners.

Historic Properties    Andrea will get list of properties from the Assessor’s Office to make a list of buildings built before 1923.

Student Volunteers   Andrea will contact Dawn Filio, faculty advisor to the Honor Society at LMMHS, to obtain some volunteers.

Volunteers  – Ellie Geller and Martha Stewart, our visitors this evening, have expressed interest in participating in the Historical Commission and will contact Barbara Allen at the Stockbridge Library to learn about storing articles about Lenox properties.

Preservation Plan    Andrea will meet with Town Planner Mary Albertson re applying for funds to hire a consultant to help in writing a Preservation Plan for Lenox.

Meeting adjourned at 8:15.  The next meetings are Nov 12,  Dec 10 and Jan 14  at 4 p.m.

                                                                        Respectfully submitted,
