Approve Minutes
February 6, 2018- MS made a motion to approve the minutes as presented. JB as seconded the motion and the Commission voted to approve 4-0.
March 20, 2018 JB made a motion to approve the minutes as amended. MS seconded the motion and the Commission voted to approve 4-0.

Other Business-MS stated that since the last meeting, March 20th, he followed up and looked at other communities’ sign bylaws regarding the location issue (Refer to the section under Location- Preexisting location) and found that four towns have nothing about prescribed location. He commented that Nantucket has a restrictive sign bylaw that states that a sign cannot obscure or cover architectural features.  There was a brief discussion and it was agreed that from this point on, there will be an agenda item on the topic regarding changing the Guidelines so that an applicant can go directly to the Building Inspector without having to have the Commission’s approval.

JB made a motion to adjourn.  MS seconded the motion and the meeting was adjourned at
6:15 PM.

Respectfully submitted,
Peggy Ammendola
