Note: The last HDC meeting was June 20, 2017. July 4 was a holiday and on July 18 there wasn’t a quorum.
William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty, 34 Church St., Map 43 Parcel 159, window display. Originally scheduled for July 18, 2017 but rescheduled for August 15, 2017 because of a lack of a forum. This application was filed on June 26, 2017.
Presenting the application was Attorney Lori Robbins. Attorney Robbins stated that Sotheby’s had received notification from the Zoning Enforcement Officer that their internally lit window display was in violation. In order to conform to the bylaws, they have agreed to unplug the internally lit portion of their window display. They may at some time choose another form of lighting, e.g. track lighting.
KS stated that he felt that the request for a Certificate of Applicability should be changed to a Certificate of Non-Applicability. He explained that this is a window display, not a sign even though a window display category was created. He made a motion to issue a Certificate of Non-Applicability to Sotheby’s for a window display. MS seconded the motion and the Commission voted to approve 3-0.
Delores Mannix, 25 Franklin Street, Map 43 Parcel 85, sign.
Presenting the application was Ms. Mannix and Ann Margaret McKillop. The Commission reviewed the application.
KS made a motion to approve the sign as presented MS seconded Ann Margaret McKillop
It was agreed by consensus to delay discussing the following until more members were present:
- Reorganization
- Violations
- Future of the HDC
Approve Minutes-
June 20, 2017-KF, JB, MS-Tabled as there was no a quorum.
July 18, 2017-There wasn’t a meeting as there was not a quorum. These are the notes.
