Sign Violations
The Commission discussed potential Historic District sign violations, specifically neon/internally illuminated signs.
KF made a motion to submit the following list of potential violations to the Building Commissioner for review and enforcement:
Brava (27 Housatonic Street) - Neon Sign
Gateways Inn (51 Walker Street) - Multiple Internally Illuminated Signs
Sotheby’s (34 Church Street) - Internally Illuminated Sign
MS seconded the motion and the Commission voted to approve 3-0.
GM agreed to provide this information to the Building Commissioner.
On April 4, 2017, the Commission will hold a public hearing to discuss the proposed Bylaw revisions with the community. Along with the required public hearing notice, the Commission will send letters inviting all Historic District property owners to the meeting.
JB made a motion to adjourn. MS seconded the motion. The Commission voted to adjourn 3-0.
