Joyce Coffman, 69 Church St., Map 43 Parcel 180, signage.
Making the presentation was Ms. Coffman. She was requesting three signs; one would be for the directory sign, one for above the door and a larger sign for the face of the building. JB explained to Ms. Coffman that currently only two signs are allowed and the maximum size allowed is six square feet. Ms. Coffman agreed that she could remove the sign above the door and that she would limit the larger sign to six square feet.
SS made a motion to approve the sign request as amended; one sign will be placed on the directory sign and that the larger sign is to be no larger than six square feet. CS seconded the motion. The Commission voted to approve 4-0.
Raymond Jacoub, 30 Church St., Map 43 Parcel 160, signage. Mr. Jacoub advised the HDC on the day of the meeting that he was withdrawing his application. He will follow up with an email stating that fact.
Minutes: ES made a motion to approve the minutes of December 6, 2011. CC seconded the motion and the Commission voted to approve 3-0.
Other Business: SS updated the HDC as to the Planning Board talks regarding possible changes in the sign bylaw.
ES made a motion to adjourn at 6:15 pm. CS seconded the motion and the Commission voted to agree 4-0.
