December 6, 2011
Members present: Chair Jason Berger, JB; Steve Sample, SS; Clare Cantone, CC; Elaine Steinert, ES
Staff present: Peggy Ammendola, PA
5:30 pm Jeffrey Lynch & Jeffrey Scrimo 68 Main St., Map 43 Parcel 196, new signage. The hearing date is set for December 6, 2011 at 5:30 PM
Making the presentation was Jeff Lynch. He has recently moved his office from 67 Church St. to 68 Main St.
SS made a motion to approve the sign as presented and CC seconded the motion. The Commission voted to approve 4-0.
Approve Minutes:
October 4, 2011: ES made a motion to approve the minutes as written and CC seconded the motion. The Commission voted to approve 3-0-1. JB abstained as he was not present at that meeting.
November 15, 2011: SS made a motion to approve the minutes as written and ES seconded the motion. The Commission voted to approve 3-0-1. CC abstained as she was not present at that meeting.
Other Business
Joint meeting with Planning Board: Town Planner Mary Albertson sent an email to the HDC stating that there will be a joint meeting of the Planning Board and HDC on Wednesday - January 4, 2012 @ 5:30 PM to discuss revisions to the sign bylaws.
SS told the Commission that the Planning Board has had meetings with business owners from the District to discuss the existing sign bylaws and there have been suggested revisions. SS shared some of the options and the Commissioners agreed that each should prepare for the January 4 meeting by reviewing the existing sign bylaws and signs in the District.
SS made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:10 pm and ES seconded the motion. The Commission voted to adjourn 3-0.
