Members present: Chair Ken Fowler (KF), Kate McNulty Vaughan, KM-V; Elaine Steinert (ES)
Absent with notification: Jason Berger, JB
Staff Present: Mary Albertson, Town Planner
The meeting was called to order at 5:45 pm.
There were no applications for tonight’s meeting.
Minutes:
June 5, 2007: ES made a motion to approve the minutes and KM-V seconded the motion. The Commission approved 3-0.
June 19, 2007: ES made a motion to approve the minutes as printed and KM-V seconded the motion. The Commission approved 3-0.
August 7, 2007: Tabled. (There was not a quorum.)
August 21, 2007: Tabled. (There was not a quorum.)
Other business:
· KM-V presented drafts of two letters which address violations in the District.
The Commissioners discussed in detail the draft referred to as Historic District Notification and suggested changes in wording. KM-V will make the changes and resubmit another draft at the next meeting.
Time did not allow for a review of the second letter, referred to as Second Letter. This will be discussed at the next meeting.
· Temporary Signs: Temporary signs can be granted by the Select Board.
The Commissioners discussed the issuance of a temporary sign that has remained in place beyond the permitted two week period and questioned the process of permitting. The concern is that there seems to be no follow up beyond the permitted time. Ms. Albertson will research and advise the Commission of her findings.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:00 pm.
