Minutes of Meeting - January 7, 2004

Chair A. Breslin called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. in the Lenox Town Hall.
Minutes of the December 3, 2003 meeting were reviewed and signed by all members.
It was noted that a Tri-Town Health Board meeting would be held on January 27th at 7 p.m. at the offices in Lee. The primary topic of the meeting will be to discuss further the possibility of the Towns of Lenox and Lee taking over solid waste collection for all their residents.
The mail was read and included an offer of free brochures from the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection and Massachusetts Association of Health Boards on the need to test private water wells. It was agreed to order copies for display and distribution at the Town Hall. Also in the mail was a copy of a letter from Peter Kolodziej of Tri-Town Health to Jason Macioge, proprietor of Bistro Zinc, advising of their being fined by the Board for a violation of the tobacco control regulations, as well as a letter from Peter Kolodziej to William Thornton, Building Inspector, expressing concerns about violations of the occupancy restrictions at Bistro Zinc.
There being no further business before the Board, the meeting adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
