Approve Minutes: May 18, 2017-DF made a motion to approve the minutes. RFC seconded the motion.

Other Business:
  • Alan Shipmann, 270 Lee Rd., contacted NC to ask about 14.6 acres he has purchased that is on Laurel Lake.  He expressed an interest in removing invasive species and building a boardwalk. NC advised that he would need to file with the Commission before commencing. He is presently working with Mark Volk of Foresight Land Services.
  • Baker’s Pond-Town Manager Chris Ketchen asked the Commission to review the work that has been done at this site to see if a Certificate of Compliance could be issued.  On May 23, 2017, Commissioners NC, VA, TF, RFC, JS, DF and DL participated in a site visit which included Mr. Ketchen and Gwen Miller, Land Use Director. They concluded that the work done was not in compliance.  The Commission discussed the various issues at length and DF took notes who will compile and then submit by the end of the week an email draft to TF for review.
RFC made a motion to adjourn at 8:55 PM. DF seconded the motion and the Commission voted to agree 7-0.
Respectfully submitted,
Peggy Ammendola
