Members present: Chair Neal Carpenter, (NC); Vince Ammendola, (VA); Tim Flanagan, (TF); Joe Strauch, (JS); David Lane, (DL); Dick Ferren, (DF); Rose Fitzgerald Casey, (RFC)
Staff present: Peggy Ammendola, Land Use Clerk (PA)

Follow-up to Commission’s 08/09/2016 site visit to Parson’s Marsh, which is across Undermountain Road from Stonover Farm.  Berkshire Natural Resources Council (BNRC) anticipates filing of a Notice of Intent during the winter to make trails. The site visit was arranged for when whether conditions were favorable.   The Commission will discuss following BNRC’s filing and subsequent hearing.

Approve Minutes:
July 28, 2016-DL made a motion to approve the minutes.  RFC seconded the motion and the Commission voted to approve 7-0.
August 4, 2018-DL made a motion to approve the minutes as amended. RFC seconded the motion and the Commission voted to approve 6-0-1.  TF abstained.

Other Business
  • MACC membership cards handed to members
  • Received on August 18, 2016 SMA NOI-Lenox, Pittsfield Airport Beacon on Yokun Seat, Construction Access Road Restoration Final Plan. Copies were provided to each member. The continued hearing is on the September 1, 2016 agenda.
  • NC went to Martha Lane, Martha Lane, Map 18 Parcels 46, 47,51,52,57 and 58 to make sure that silt fence was in place and found that it was in compliance.  The driveway and pipes for utilities are being put in place.
  • Site visit, Parson’s Marsh on August 9th that was attended by Doug Bruce and Mike Leavitt from BRRC; Gwen Miller, Town Planner; and Commissioners TF JS DF and NC.   
  • Copies of the General Waterways License for Laurel Lake Water Power, LLC that was forwarded to the Commission by Mark Stinson, MassDEP were given to the Commissioners.
RFC made a motion to adjourn.  JS seconded the motion and the Commission voted to agree 7-0.
