Notice of Intent, Electric Power Research Institute, 115 East New Lenox Rd., Map 34 Parcel 1. Construction of utility pole test site and related work. Continued from April 18, 2013 as Natural Heritage & Endangered Species Program (NHESP) had not yet responded.

On May 6, 2013, NHESP acknowledged receipt of EPRI, Inc. filing of their NOI with site plans dated March 29, 2013 and revised with hand edits 4/4/2013 as well as the MESA Review Checklist and supporting documentation. Based on their review, NHESP has determined the project as currently proposed will not adversely affect the actual Resource Area Habitat of state-protected rare wildlife species.

RFC made a motion to approve with the special condition the applicant notify the Commission when siltation devices are in place.  VA seconded the motion and the Commission voted to approve 7-0.

Minutes:  April 18, 2013 DF made a motion to approve the minutes with a minor edit.   DL seconded the motion and the Commission voted to approve 7-0.

Other business:
Joe Toole-On May 7, 2013, an email update from Joe Toole was received by the Commission.  Mr. Toole said that he had met on that day with his Attorney, Phil Heller, to discuss Mr. Toole’s conservation restriction for his property located near the Hampton Inn and Suites.  Mr. Heller will be having a confirming discussion with Misty-Anne Merold at NHESP before proceeding.

Margaret Allen, Map 48 Parcel 40, 334 East Street-It has come to the attention of the Commission the unsightly debris which includes disposed of Halloween decorations from several years for which this homeowner is responsible.  The site is on Post Farm which is adjacent to Ms. Allen’s property.  The Commission agreed that a letter should be sent to Ms. Allen requesting she remove this debris before the brush starts growing.

RFC made a motion to adjourn and JS seconded the motion.  The Commission voted to agree 7-0 and the meeting was adjourned at 7:20 pm.

Respectfully submitted,
Peggy Ammendola
