Daniel and Paula Kahn Almgren, 369 East St. New Lenox Rd., Map 48 Parcel 35. RDA Septic system upgrade.
Mike Kulig of Berkshire Engineering, Inc. presented the application. Also present was Mr. Almgren.
The property is being transferred to another owner, and Title V requires that the existing failed septic system be upgraded. A site plan was presented of the proposed location and an alternate location was noted that may be the choice of the new owners. In the event the alternate location is decided upon, a new RDA will be filed. The upgrade as presented will be a gravity system.
The site visit was attended by Mike Kulig, Dan Almgren, NC, VA, JS, and DL.
DL made a motion to issue a Negative 3 Determination and VA seconded the motion. The Commission voted to approve 7-0.
Other business
1) Laurel Lake-Copies of Water Resource Services Inc. letter of September 9, 2011 were provided to the Commissioners. The letter was in response to questions raised by the Commissioners at the September 1, 2011 meeting. (The September 15th meeting was canceled due to lack of a quorum.) That letter is attached to these minutes.
2) Joe Toole’s Conservation Restriction at Mr. Toole’s property known as Hampton Inn- Mr. Toole called and advised NC that he is continuing to work on this.
Minutes: September 1, 2011-RFC made a motion to approve the minutes as written and TF seconded the motion. The Commission voted to approve 6-0-1. DL abstained as he was not present at that meeting.
