Members present:
Chair Neal Carpenter, NC; Joe Strauch, JS; Tim Flanagan, TF; Vince Ammendola, VA; Rose Fitzgerald Casey, RFC; and Dick Ferren, DF (Arrived after the meeting portion but before the workshop.
Absent with notification: David Lane, DL
Notice of Intent, Richard Heiss, Sargent Brook Road, Map 1 Lot 2 of Parcel 35. Continue to mow an existing 6’ wide grass path through the buffer zone and BVW to Laurel Lake; mow a 12’ by 12’ sitting area; install a boat rack, 2 pipes for attachment of removable floating dock, weed whack parcel two times a year and remove invasive shrubs. Continued from August 21, 2008. The applicant was not prepared for this continuation hearing and requested to continue to September 18, 2008. VA made a motion to continue to September 18 and JS seconded the motion. The Commission voted 5-0 to continue.
Notice of Intent, Mass Highway 270 Main St., Map 17 Parcel 57. Capping of an inactive solid waste disposal area. Continued from August 7, August 21, 2008. (Originally on the April 17, 2008 agenda.) JS made a motion to continue and TF seconded the motion. The Commission voted 5-0 to continue.

Other business:
Community Preservation Committee-JS advised the Commission that the CPC will have a meeting on September 15, 2008 at 7:30 pm regarding Historic Preservation.
GE-Housatonic-Critical environmental concerns. VA composed a letter and presented to the Commissioners for review.
Minutes of August 21, 2008: RFC made a motion to approve the minutes with minor edits and TF seconded the motion. The Commission voted 5-0 to approve.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 pm and the Commissioners attended a workshop on Orders of Condition hosted by Mark Stinson of the DEP.
