Members present:

Absent with notification: Rose Fitzgerald Casey, RFC
Minutes of January 17, 2008: DL made a motion to approve the minutes and JS seconded the motion. The Commission voted to approve 5-0-1 with DF abstaining as he was not present at that meeting.
Scenic Mountain Act: NC advised the Commission that DCR has approved the Scenic Mountain Act and Map.
Aspinwell, 55 Pittsfield Rd., Map 17 Parcel 40: NC handed out copies of the second letter (Dated February 4, 2008) to Karen Hirschberg of DEP regarding David Case’s appeal.
DJ Oil, 18 Crystal Street, Map 4 Parcel 73: NC advised the Commissioners that Brent White of White Engineering said that DJ Oil will not start work until March 2008.
Model Wetlands Bylaw: JS provided copies of a model for a wetland bylaw with the suggestion the Commissioners review and consider adopting a Town wetland bylaw. The members discussed the pros and cons. TF stated that two thirds of the communities in Massachusetts have adopted local wetland bylaws. Discussions will be ongoing.
