Youth Services Report:  Our Town’s 250th Parade went well, kids from LCC marched.  Kim along with Adams Community Bank had a kids corner down at Shakespeare, with face painting and games.  The kids had a lot of fun.

Tuesday Clay & Cloth is extended to November in order to make up classes missed.

Chess, Dodge Ball, Illustrations with Emma, Kids Yoga, Knitting all continue to be popular classes for our LCC kids.

Leo Carter from Canyon Ranch is doing Yoga for our kids in November.

Guys Night Out:  Continues to be popular.

Babysitting Course- We have 5 students signed up thus far…would need to have 8.  We may end up taking a loss this time around.

This Saturday 10/21 we will host a Family Halloween Party here in our Ballroom.  We will hold Costume Contest, and Sully will provide the music for the evening.  Tuesday is our annual Halloween parade- starting at St. Ann, marching down Main Street to the Center where goodies will be handed out, then the kids will go our Trick or Treating throughout downtown…Lenox Merchants do a great job for our kids.  The Lenox High School Band will MARCH this year….no flat bed truck needed…8th and 9th grade student will march and play in the parade.

Senior Services Report:  Monday’s with Me….includes guest speakers from; Medicare, Smitty came and joined 15 folks at Town Hall and Smitty would like to come again.

Square Dancing has ended.

18 of our senior’s took the Fall Foliage Ride….not stellar this year, however, a good time was had by all.  Our folks visited Bartlett’s, took Route 2, did shopping in Williamstown, had lunch at Pub 6…and returned home.

Steven Tran from LMMHS National Honor Society is hosting Smart Phone Tutoring for our senior’s again this fall/winter.

Electra Café is catering our monthly luncheon this month…our seniors look forward to our monthly lunches from our area restaurants.

Flu Clinic is very busy….our Town Hall and School’s did not offer Clinic’s this season.

Our Friday afternoons Movie is going to be- Going in Style…folks are looking forward to this.

Fuel Assistance applications are here!

September we had 194 participate in our congregate meals.  We had 27 unduplicated riders which is an increase in rides.

Director’s Report:  Beach Update- Kim tells us that it is gorgeous, is on target, and moving right along.  Kim shows the Board pictures….proves all good things happening.  Kim and the LCC Board members are all very pleased with the project.

On Thursday at 9:00am Kim and Crew will meet to go over the remaining project of the Beach.

Should the Beach be Lenox Residents only?  Should the Board review and update Policy?  Kim crunched some numbers to have a parking lot attendant in the hours of 10:00am to 2:00 pm- then again 4:00 pm to 8:00pm and it would be in the area of $5,000.00.  This could also possibly be a Tax Work Off person.  The Board request to table this discussion until next meeting on November 15th, 2017 @ 6:00pm.

We should also discuss perhaps having camera’s at the Beach in the future as well.

Heating Update:  No heat YET!  Space Heaters in the Office are in.  Eco Genesis= Led tested positive, Asbestos tested positive…The Center and Heating project are all not cleared from both Led and Asbestos.  Led is commonly an issue in old buildings there isn’t much you can do to avoid it, however, you can curb it though.  The Center has been cleaned from Top to Bottom and we are good to go.

Mark Smith the Town Plumbing Inspector was here yesterday. Ed Lane (Select board liaison) was here today thinking the heat kicked in yesterday.  The building remains cold….we are all freezing here at our meeting…heat will be up to snuff soon…..here’s hoping!  We now have a timeline as to when the project will be complete.  The Game Room remains the same….need to keep at that…Kim will continue to look for a time line on that.  Rose asked about the hot water issue and Kim tells us that we are all set now with that.
