MINUTES OF MEETING
JACKSON BUDGET HEARING
Whitney Center
February 4, 2016
- Call to Order: The February 4th meeting of the Jackson School Board Budget Hearing was called to order at 6:00pm. Present were Jerry Dougherty, Principal Gayle Dembowski, Keith Bradley, Genn Anzaldi, Dan Mahood, Supt. Kevin Richard, Jess Della Valla, Becky Jefferson SAU 9 and Pam Stimpson SAU 9. There were 6 members of the public present.
Kevin Richard opened the public hearing by presenting the Jackson School Budget stating that the budget was down by $8,243 from last year.
Some of the questions presented from the public were:
- Where we are half way through the terms of the High School agreement are all budget expectations on track?
- Kevin responded yes the expectations are very well projected.
- Kevin you mentioned a sign for the front of the school, what kind of sign will that be?
- Gayle responded much like the Bartlett sign where we can put notices on what is going on at the school.
- Gayle responded Helen Crowell.
- Is the School Budgets always estimated conservatively?
- Are we buying a bus? Have you thought of a smaller bus?
- Kevin responded not this year.
- Jerry responded we have thought about that, we use two buses on a daily basis. We have two spare buses at this time.
- Pam Stimpson responded we need a spare bus because we no longer have the opportunity to share a bus from the administration.
- Keith responded with a small bus we would need to balance the bus and we need the bigger but for the whole school for trips.

- Adjourn Motion made to by Kevin Richard, seconded by Jerry Dougherty to close the hearing at 6:27 p.m.
