This time of year is Nordic skiing.  Health and Wellness committee, parents wish more physical activities after school.

Lisa White- suggested maybe adjusting someone’s schedule in order for this to happen.

Principal Gayle Dembowski- we have begun this discussion for next year working with teachers. Teachers are volunteering their time now for the enrichment program.  If you have parents willing to help there is always have space available at the school for enrichment.

There was a discussion between Jess Della Valla and Jerry Dougherty about the possibility of blending the enrichment program with the bus schedule to include it after school.  Jerry Dougherty mentioned that enrichment should be happening during school hours more so then after school.

  • Citizen Comments
PTO point of view- Parent volunteers are great, but shows that the same parents are usually doing the volunteering for different events.  Double income double working families hard to volunteer.  So where else do you get the volunteers from?
Exchange between Gino Funicella and Jerry Dougherty where Gino asked, how many kids are here in the school?  Jerry Dougherty answered right now there are 37.  You may be trying to save a school that may not have enough kids to have it saved.
