MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING
JACKSON SCHOOL BOARD
Jackson Grammar School
July 17, 2014


1.      Call to Order - A special meeting of the Jackson School Board was called to order at 3:32 p.m.  Present were Genn Anzaldi, Keith Bradley, Fred Nemeth, Jerry Dougherty, Andy Kearns and Carl Nelson.  Also in attendance were Mr. & Mrs. Mark Davidson and Heather Woodward.

2.      Consider Personnel Actions

  • Election of Gary Allen as full-time Maintenance/CustodianKeith Bradley moved to elect Gary Allen as full-time maintenance/custodian at a rate of $19.00 per hour effective August 6, 2014.  The motion as seconded by Genn Anzaldi and passed 5-0-0.
  • Accept Resignation of Heather WoodwardJerry Dougherty moved to accept, with regret, the resignation of Heather Woodward effective July 31, 2014.  The motion was seconded by Keith Bradley and passed 5-0-0.
  • Consider Heather’s request that the Board waiver her tuition reimbursement for courses takenJerry Dougherty moved to approve Heather Woodward’s request to waive tuition reimbursement of $4,500 for courses taken during the 2013-14 school year.  The motion was seconded by Andy Kearns and passed 5-0-0.
3.      Any Other Business

        The Board discussed the hiring process and asked if there were other    options other than hiring a full-time teacher.

        Jerry Dougherty moved to go into Nonpublic Session in   accordance with RSA 91-A:3 II to discuss a personnel matter.    The motion was seconded by Andy Kearns and passed 5-0-0 on a    roll call vote.

        Nonpublic Session Minutes – The board listened to a request from an   employee and his wife regarding employment.

        Andy Kearns moved to return to Public Session.  The motion was  seconded by Jerry Dougherty and passed 5-0-0.

4.      Adjournment - Motion was made by Andy Kearns, seconded by Keith Bradley, to adjourn the meeting.  The motion passed unanimously at 4:25 p.m.
