JACKSON PLANNING BOARD
MINUTES – June 9, 2016 – REGULAR MEETING

Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 7:07 PM by Dick Bennett, Chair. Attending were: Members Dick Bennett, Daren Levitt, Sarah Kimball, John Allen, Kathleen Dougherty, and Betsey Harding. Hank Benesh was present, making an audio-visual recording of the minutes.
Minutes of April 14: Sarah moved, and Kathleen seconded, acceptance of the minutes; all approved.
Matters not on the Agenda for the evening: Dick read a letter submitted by Thomas and Deborah Holcomb regarding property at Tax Map V-10, lots 229, 119A and 120A, which they believe had been involuntarily merged. Betsey offered to check with the Selectmen’s Office and tax cards to determine what the problem may be.
Continued Review of Master Plan: Copies of the Master Plan’s Background Studies and the Goals and Policies section were briefly reviewed, following Sarah’s changes finalized at our last meeting. We voted to send the Goals and Policies section to North Country Council for their review; Betsey will do that, and will also request that they provide us with copies of the various maps on Jackson’s soils, wetlands, steep slopes, etc. When NCC returns it to us, we will format the booklet, adding photos, maps, and more. The Background studies will be reviewed and finalized at our July 14th meeting. Also on the July agenda will be a review of the PDI report, which examines Jackson’s current zoning, and a review and approval of the town’s Scenic Roads, in accordance with State law.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:10 PM.
