April 2, 2012 Minutes were approved.
April 4, 2012 Work session minutes approved.
Timber cut at Prospect Farm.  Don Johnson reported net proceeds to town and amount of timber tax paid from last cut.  Discussed a small amount of timber left to be cut per original management plan, perhaps this summer.  Don painted the property line along Lyons property.  Next meeting on June 4th will meet at the Town office and then go to see proposed final timber cut area before decide if want Don to cut it this year.
Motion made to pay Don Johnson for blazing of line to be paid from Conservation commission fund.  Motion passed.

Gray’s Inn property.  Discussed hiking trail on back 22 acres following Don Johnson’s map from 2006.  Larry and Brian hiked proposed trail.  Before any trail cutting begins  need to know where rear property line is located.  Don Johnson will flag rear property line.  Plant 480 plants and Ernst grass mix Sunday of Memorial Day weekend at 9AM by all members.  Greg Howard will show where and how to plant.
Motion to reimburse Larry approximately $1,000 that he put on his credit card for the plants, Ernst Mix, mulch hay and shipping.  Motion passed.

Dick Bennett’s final words of wisdom.  Be frugal with money.  Do work that will hold up considering cycle of high water. Use state nursery for plants in future.  Need eyes in the community to notice work in sensitive areas around town.  Dick left the meeting at this point.

Elections for April.  Elections for positions within the JCC as follows:
Larry Siebert, Chair
Brian Byrne, Vice Chair
Jess Wilson, Secretary

Jackson Falls plan.  Larry reported that Sean Sweeney suggested that the town spend money on plants, not a plan for the Falls.  However, we need something that shows what the Falls will look like for the public to see.  Sean can’t get to a plan until late in the summer.  A plan for next year for planting.  Larry will talk to Greg Howard to see if he has time this year for a plan.  Larry is on the agenda at the next Selectmen’s meeting to let them know what JCC is doing.  He will update them on Grey’s Inn, ask that the Town not cut the Falls this summer and that JCC will reduce some of the paths.  Larry will also discuss no parking on Valley Cross road.

Trails responsibility.  Iron Mountain Trail, Eagle Mountain Trail and Thorn Hill Trail maintenance were discussed.  JCC probably not enough time and ability of members to maintain.

Wentworth Island Bridge.      Bridge washed away with Irene storm.  Always mowed island and will continue to do so.  Unsure about rebuilding the bridge.

Meeting adjourned 7:05.
