Conservation Commission Minutes February 10, 2011
Present were Dick Bennet, Phil Davies, Dave Matesky, Pam Smillie, Brian Byrne, Hank Dresch, and Larry Siebert
Phil reported that we are having trouble finding the deed to the Prospect Farm property in the county records in Ossipee.
We received a bid for the surveying of the property from Ron Briggs, and we are waiting at least 2 more bids to come in before reaching our decision on this.
Hank has brought us a copy of all the recorded easements in the Town of Jackson, and we spent some time trying to determine which of those properties we have a responsibility to monitor going forward.
The Trustee’s of The Trust Funds have corrected the $23,000.00 over payment to the Baker Trust, and it has been recorded in the Town’s Annual Report.
Phil passed around an example of the new kiosk to be located at the entrance of the Prospect Farm property, and Don Johnson will provide 2 copies for us to hopefully place eventually in the new and improved parking lot the US Forest service has promised to provide before the completion of the Than Timber project.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:30.
