Prospect Farm
Meet by trail map in Prospect Farm at 5:00. Brief (15-30 minutes) discussion and solicitation of ideas for recreational development, if any, on the town property. Then break into teams to walk any proposed developments.
Ideas suggested to the commission:
1) Do nothing
2) Improve signs
3) Develop a historical walk on established roads/trails. Use specific history of Prospect Farm to paint a picture of town's settlement and development. Create permanent signs based on the cellar holes and other locations.
4) Develop new hiking trails to provide additional loop walks entirely on town land (e.g. connect Orchard Trail to pond on Dana Place Trail.)
5) Develop hiking trails with adjacent landowners (e.g. connect Halls Ledge to Orchard Trail or a loop from orchard area to Wildcat Brook)
