as it related to Nantasket Pier
• Formation of OSR subcommittees
• Review/approval of August 13, 2001 meeting minutes
Burns: Motion for OSR to meet every three weeks
Mooney: Seconded
Vote: Unanimous in favor
Mooney: Discussion of chair and co-chair. Should we establish a vice-chairman instead of
a co-chairman. Should we establish committees?
{Discussion turned to Nantasket Pier and OSR priorities}
Linville: Nantasket Pier should be a both a destination and a jumping off point
What priority projects does OSR want to focus on?
• Nantasket Pier and potential for zoning changes (from waterfront district to commercial or residential)
• HRA Redevelopment /reuse
• Public access/ Right of Ways
• Pedestrian open space/ walkways
• Tree planting around town
Ritz/ White: Perhaps in the future OSR should look at potential for reuse of landfill space (recreational or other use)
Burns mentioned inviting Elmore Pooler, Assistant Harbor Master in Scituate come talk to OSR about Scituate Pier project
