Minutes

December 5, 2006

        `The meeting of the Hull Board of Selectmen was called to order at 7:35 pm on
Tuesday evening, December 5, 2006 at the Hull Municipal Building, 253 Atlantic Avenue,
Hull, Massachusetts

Present: John Reilly, Chairman; John Silva, Vice Chairman; Ron Davy, Clerk; Christopher
Olivieri, and Joan Meschino, Members. Also present were Christopher McCabe, Town
Manager, and James Lampke, Town Counsel.

MINUTES

        The minutes of July 25, 2006 were approved by unanimous vote.

7:30 pm – 8:00 pm-Town Manager Discussion

        The Members discussed the various options for seeking a new Town Manager, and a
method for funding the various methods of the search. Some of the options cited were to
advertise, hire a consultant to find a suitable candidate from another community, or for the
Board to do its own search.

CORRESPONDENCE

        Read the notification from the Hull Light Board of the vacancy left by the passing of
Member Richard Jones and the need to fill the vacancy.

        The Hull Lifesaving Museum was granted its request to hold an Annual Pub Night on Friday,
December 8, 2006 from 7-10pm.

        Addressed the request of Judeth Van Hamm from the Sustainable Transportation Committee
to insert an article in the warrant of the Annual Town Meeting requiring the Town to
purchase fuel efficient vehicles Also, addressed the request asking the Selectmen to submit
the attached bicycle/walking map to MAPC.

        McCabe updated the Board on the FY ’08 budget and informed the Board that the Town’s
application for a 2% Bridge Loan for the Jacobs School construction was granted along with
a $4,326,402.

LICENSE RENEWALS

(#1. Bermaken Hotel, LLC was approved on November 28, 2006, on a motion by Meschino,
seconded by Silva)

All of the following license renewals on page 2 & 3 were granted by
unanimous votes on motion by Silva, seconded by Davy subject to receipt
of all necessary safety approvals.
