May 17, 2005
The meeting of the Hull Board of Selectmen was called to order at 7:37 pm on Tuesday evening, May 17, 2005 at the Hull Municipal Building, 253 Atlantic Avenue, Hull, Massachusetts.
Present: John Reilly, Chairman; Christopher Olivieri, Clerk; Joan Meschino, Ronald Davy and John Silva, Members. Also present were: Christopher McCabe, Town Manager and James Lampke, Town Counsel.
The Chairman opened the first meeting following the election with a moment of silence on the passing of Jack Kelly, a retired Hull Police Sergeant and the husband of the late Winifred Kelly, former Hull Tresaurer/Collector. Sergeant Kelly was a veteran, and spent many volunteer hours tending the grounds of the War Memorial.
Reilly welcomed the newly elected Members, Mr. Ronald Davy and Dr. John Silva to the Board. He offered his thanks to the former Members Gerard McLaughlin and Leonard Hersch for their dedication to the community.
The new Members thanked their campaign workers, supporters and families, and thanked the two former members.
Davy said he hopes to fulfill his campaign promises by establishing a process for setting goals and to include other boards and committees. He said he hoped to identify three to five goals to be accomplished over the next twelve months.
MOVED-Reilly: That a Proclamation be issued to Leonard Hersch and Gerard McLaughlin for their service to the Town.

VOTE: Unanimous in favor
REORGANIZATION
MOVED-Reilly: To nominate Dr. Christopher Olivieri as Chairman; Joan Meschino as Vice Chairman and Ronald Davy as Clerk
SECOND-Silva
VOTE: Unanimous in favor
Olivieri assumed the Chairman's seat and said that the policy and procedures will be up for discussion next week to adopt or change. And that he is confident that a lot of work will be done over the next year.
Meeting adjourned at 7:52 pm.
