The Hull Board of Selectmen meeting was called to order at 7:30 pm on Tuesday evening, August 20, 2002 at the Hull Municipal Building, 253 Atlantic Avenue, Hull, Massachusetts.
Present: John Reilly, Chairman; Thomas Burns, Vice Chairman; Regina Burke, Clerk; Leonard Hersch, and Gerald McLaughlin, Members. Also present was James Lampke, Acting Town Manager and Town Counsel
Dockage of the “Bounty” at Nantasket Pier
The vessel Bounty has contacted the Town regarding permission to dock at Nantasket Pier over Labor Day weekend.
MOVED-McLaughlin: To allow the Bounty dockage at Nantasket Pier over the Labor
Day weekend.

Mass. CDBG Program, a/k/a Mass. Small Cities FY03 Application
Jay Szklut, Planning Director, appeared before the Board to ask support for three social service programs in the Town's FY03 application to the Commonwealth. Each of the programs has been approved by the Board of Selectmen in previous funding rounds. The programs are Hull Board of Health's “Family Support Services Program”, Hull Public School's “Truancy Reduction Intervention Program”, and Wellspring Multi-Service Center's “Evening Adult Education Program.”
MOVED-McLaughlin: To approve the application as presented by Jay Szklut regarding Hull's FY03 CDBG Application to the Commonwealth, without the need for these programs to formally provide a presentation before the Board.

VOTE: UNANIMOUS in Favor
Jay Szklut also presented a “Community Development Strategy” in connection with the Town's FY03 CDBG Application to the Commonwealth, which must accompany said application.
MOVED-McLaughlin: To accept the draft Community Development Strategy for inclusion in the Town's FY03 CDBG Application to the Commonwealth.
