HULL CONTRIBUTORY RETIREMENT BOARD MEETING
August 30, 2018

The regular meeting of the Hull Contributory Retirement Board, duly posted to be held in the selectman’s meeting room, Town Hall, Hull, MA on the above date was called to order at 9:07 a.m. Present were, Members, Gregory Galvin, Brian Thompson, and Mike Buckley, John King, and Retirement Administrator Lauren Durham. John Reilly was absent.
In accordance with the open meeting law, the Secretary was notified and it was announced that Lauren Durham was making and audio recording of the meeting.
Minutes:
Brian Thompson made a motion, seconded by Greg Galvin to approve the minutes from July 31, 2018 regular Board meeting as presented.
Unanimously Voted.
Payments:
Greg Galvin made a motion to approve and sign the Bill Warrant for August 2018 and the Payroll Warrant for August 2018, seconded by Brian Thompson.
Unanimously Voted.
Mike Buckley authorized a PRIT redemption in the amount of $40,000.
New Employees:
Brian Thompson made a motion, seconded by Greg Galvin to accept Mackenzie MacCune into the Retirement system as of July 16, 2018. Mackenzie is a group 1 employee working in the Hull Accessor’s Office.
Unanimously Voted.
Payroll Changes:
The Board was notified of the death of Walter Bouchie on July 24, 2018. Mr. Bouchie was a group 4 employee of the Hull Police Department when he retired on May 1, 1995 under Accidental Disability, under the Heart Law. Prior to November 1995, Option C was not an option for accidental disability retirees and as a result, his surviving spouse is eligible for a section 101 benefit, minimum allowance of $1,000.00 per month. Upon receipt of his death certificate it was noted that his cause of death was cardiac arrest.
Greg Galvin made a motion, seconded by John King, to grant the spouse, Barbara Bouchie, of Walter Bouchie a lifetime survivor allowance under M.G.L c. 32§ 9, accidental death benefit.

Updates:
The 2018 Emerging Issues presented by PERAC will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at the College of the Holy Cross. If any Board members are interested in attending please register through PROSPER or notify Lauren Durham.
The Hull Fiduciary Policy was signed and approved for renewal.
The Board reviewed the June 2018 & July 2018 Trial Balance and the July PRIM Board updates.
The RFP for Legal Services has been posted on PERAC’s website as well as in the Hull Times. Deadline for submitting an RFP is 9/11/2018 in order for the Board to review them at the September meeting. To date, 2 firms have requested copies of the RFP, The Law Office of Michael Sacco and Murphy, Hesse, Toomey & Lehane.
