Minutes of Meeting— January 8, 2015
The Hudson Board of Appeals met in the Selectmen’s Hearing Room, 2nd Floor, Town Hall, Hudson, Massachusetts. At 7:00 PM, Lawrence Norris called the meeting to order.
Present: Lawrence Norris, Dorothy Risser, Darja Nevits, Todd Pietrasiak, Jill Schafer and Jennifer Burke, Planning Director.
Petition 1057: 10 Dewey Street, Accessory Dwelling Unit
The Board is in receipt of a letter from the applicant requesting that Petition 1057 be withdrawn without prejudice.
Dorothy Risser, seconded by Todd Pietrasiak, made a motion to accept the withdrawal of Petition 1057 without prejudice.
Vote: 5-0-0, Unanimous
Board to meet with candidates for vacant Associate Member positions
The Board met with four candidates to fill two vacant associate member positions on the Board. The candidates are Sam Calandra, Wayne Grant, Jason Mauro and Pamela Cooper. Each of the candidates briefly addressed the Board and explained why they would like to be appointed to this Board. The candidates all left and the Board deliberated.
The Board ruled out Mr. Grant as he was not as qualified as the other candidates. After a lengthy deliberation the Board voted to recommend Mr. Mauro and Ms. Cooper.
Ms. Burke stated that she would bring the recommendation to the Board of Selectmen for consideration at it’s next meeting of January 26, 2015.

Lawrence Norris, seconded by Dorothy Risser, made a motion to accept the minutes of November 13, 2014 as written.
Vote: 4-0-1, Darja Nevits not voting.

At 8:15 PM, Todd Pietrasiak seconded by Darja Nevits, moved to adjourn.
Vote: 5-0-0, Unanimous
