The Internal Traffic Committee met in the Selectmen’s Hearing Room, 2nd floor Town Hall at 78 Main Street, Hudson, Massachusetts. At 10:00 AM the Committee called the meeting to order.

Traffic Issues
Stop Sign on Vinal Street
Ms. Burke indicated that an email was received by a member of the Board of Selectmen asking about a sign that was up and then was removed. Mr. Marques noted that the sign was placed on a telephone pole and that location currently is not a legal sign location. He stated that this could be like adding a stop sign in the middle of a subdivision which the Committee has not done in the past.
Chief Braga asked for a description of the intersection configuration. Mr. Marques stated that he would like to see a stop sign on Bennett Street at the Cox Street intersection. That would be more consistent with the area.
Chief Braga, seconded by John Blood, made a motion to recommend the addition of stop signs on Vinal Street at Bennett Street and on Bennett Street at Cox Street.
Vote: 3-0-0, Unanimous
Truck Exclusion Grove Street Area
Ms. Burke explained that after reviewing the MassDOT warrants again, Mr. Blazar asked that the Committee consider warrant B which considers the condition of the pavement structure of the route to be excluded. The Committee agreed to have MassDOT review this warrant.
