The Internal Traffic Committee met in the Selectman’s Hearing Room, Town Hall at 78 Main Street, Hudson, Massachusetts. At 10:00 the Committee called the meeting to order.

Traffic Issues
Stop Sign on Shay Road
Kelly Haley reviewed with the Committee an incident that occurred in her vehicle. She described almost being hit by another car that did not stop when exiting Shay Road. She indicated that her neighbors have had the same issues.
Chief Braga indicated that he had no objection to a stop sign in that location. He feels this location is different from the residential intersections that the Committee does not usually recommend.
Tony Marques, seconded by Chief Braga, made a motion to recommend to the Board of Selectmen that stop signs be installed at the intersection of Shay Road and Hosmer Street (2 locations) and at the intersection of Shay Road and Causeway Street.
Vote: 4-0-0 Unanimous
66 Cox Street
Present was: Steve Poole, Consolidated Design Group
Mr. Poole presented the revised plan to the Committee. All previously raised issues have been addressed. Mr. Marques noted that the drainage all comes to the road. He would like a trench drain installed and connected to 2 catch basins not the drain manhole. He also asked about the water and sewer connections. Mr. Poole indicated that the connections would be from the old house.
Chief Braga, seconded by Tony Marques, made a motion to approve the site plan for 66 Cox Street with the following conditions:
The trench drain will be connected to catch basins and not the drain manhole.
