Internal Traffic Committee Minutes 11/18/05
The Internal Traffic Committee met in the Selectman’s Hearing Room, Town Hall at 78 Main Street, Hudson, Massachusetts.  At 10:00 the Committee called the meeting to order.
Present: Tony Marques, Chief Frederick Dusseault, Lt. Dave French for Chief Richard Braga, Jeff Wood and Michelle Ciccolo

Traffic Issues

Hudson Catholic High School
The committee reviewed a letter received from Susan Ricciuti, Administrative Assistant at Hudson Catholic High School. She wrote to request a marker to be placed in the middle of the crosswalk in front of the school to warn motorists of the crosswalk.

The Committee noted that the high school may want to reconsider its policy of allowing students off campus. Chief Dusseault stated the buses are parking in the “No Parking Zone” when loading and this is what leads to the lack of visibility. Tony Marques and Lt French stated the road is too narrow to allow for the positioning of cones as an additional marker.

The Committee asked that a letter be sent to Ms. Rucciuti stating their concerns.

399 River Road
Present was: Cindy O’Connell

Mr. Wood expressed his belief that in order to be in conformance with the Town’s Zoning Regulations, the two lots should be combined after Grace Baptist Church purchases the lot and the approval process is complete.

Tony Marques, seconded by Chief Dusseault, made a motion to approve the plan for 399 River Road subject to the following conditions:
The inclusion of an easement plan in the full set of plans.
The agreement of the Applicant to combine lots.

Vote: 4-0-0 Unanimous

230 Washington Street
Present: Although not on the agenda, Mike Dryden appeared to request clarification on his project.

Mr. Wood noted that the snow storage area for this original project was never built.  He expressed the desire to have a commitment from the developer and a letter stating that the site will be constructed according to the original approved site plan before he signs the new expansion plan.

Mr. Marques signed the plans but Chief Dusseault and Mr. Wood will await this letter before signing off.
