  • Call to Order:
Present were Mr. Vereault, Yates, Durant,  Lucy and Mr. Blazar.  Attorney Cipriano and Ms. Santos were also present
  • Minutes to be Approved:
Executive Session:  October 15, 2012 Part I
On a motion by Mr. Lucy, seconded by Mr. Yates the Board voted by a margin of 4-0 to approve the minutes.
Executive Session:  October 15, 2012 Part II
On a motion by Mr. Lucy, seconded by Mr. Durant the Board voted by a margin of 4-0 to approve the minutes.
Public Session:  November 5, 2012
On a motion by Mr. Durant, seconded by Mr. Lucy the Board voted by a margin of 4-0 to approve the minutes.
Executive Session:  November 5, 2012 Part I
On a motion by Mr. Lucy, seconded by Mr. Durant the Board voted by a margin of 4-0 to approve the minutes.
Executive Session:  November 5, 2012 Part II
On a motion by Mr. Lucy, seconded by Mr. Durant the Board voted by a margin of 4-0 to approve the minutes.
Public Session:  November 13, 2012
On a motion by Mr. Yates, seconded by Mr. Lucy the Board voted by a margin of 4-0 to approve the minutes.
Executive Session:  November 13, 2012
The Board will discuss these minutes in executive session.
Public Session:  November 19, 2012
On a motion by Mr. Lucy, seconded by Mr. Yates the Board voted by a margin of 4-0 to approve the minutes.
  • Citizen’s Issues:
Mr. Leonid Ignatiev of 151 Brook Street was present and asked the board for guidance in resolving a property damage claim to his property.  Mr. Blazar stated that our office will look into.
  • Meetings and Public Hearings - 7:00 PM:
Selectmen to conduct Tax Classification Hearing to set the property tax rates for FY13.  (Hearing to be continued until December 17 at 7:00 PM).
The Tax Classification hearing was continued to December 17, 2012 at 7:00pm.
  • Licenses:
Selectmen to consider the licensure of Zachery Caillouet as a Taxi Driver for Sunshine Taxi.
On a motion by Mr. Lucy, seconded by Mr. Vereault the Board voted by a margin of 3-1 to issue the license.  Mr. Yates opposed.
Selectmen to consider the issuance of a license to The Hudson Elks Lodge for the sale of Christmas Trees.
On a motion by Mr. Yates, seconded by Mr. Lucy the Board voted by a margin of 4-0 to issue the license.
Selectmen to consider approval of annual license renewals for all licensees who have met the requirements for renewal.
On a motion by Mr. Lucy, seconded by Mr. Vereault the Board voted by a margin of 3-0-1 to approve the annual license renewals.  Mr. Yates abstained.
  • Personnel:
Selectmen to note the resignation of Michael Lembo as Call Firefighter.
On a motion by Mr. Yates, seconded by Mr. Lucy the Board voted by a margin of 4-0 to note resignation.
  • Contracts:
Selectmen to consider authorization to sign a contract with F.G. Sullivan Drilling Inc. in the amount of $16,329 for the cleaning and rehabilitation of the Chestnut III municipal well.
On a motion by Mr. Lucy, seconded by Mr. Vereault the Board voted by a margin of 4-0 to approve the contract.
  • General:
Selectmen to consider approval of amendment to Water Use Regulations to allow for emergency shut-offs of water services to unoccupied homes.
On a motion by Mr. Lucy, seconded by Mr. Yates the Board voted by a margin of 4-0 to approve the amendment to the Water Use Regulations.
Selectmen to consider acceptance of deed for 6.5 acres of land donated in the memory of Lloyd Larkin Parker and Arline Knight Parker parents of David, Alan, and Lee Parker lifelong residents of Hudson, as authorized by the Town meeting held on November 19, 2012.
On a motion by Mr. Yates, seconded by Mr. Lucy the Board voted by a margin of 4-0 to accept the deed.  
Selectmen to consider approval of Loan Subordination Agreement to Marlborough Savings on behalf of Joan M. Wordell for the property located at 169 Marlborough Street in Hudson.
On a motion by Mr. Durant, seconded by Mr. Lucy the Board voted by a margin of 3-0-1 to approve the Loan Subordination.  Mr. Yates abstained.
  • Town Issues:
Mr. Lucy reported that he has been working with members of the Quail Run Association and our Executive Assistant to extend pedestrian access to Washington Street destinations.
  • Correspondence to be Noted by Clerk:
On a motion by Mr. Lucy, seconded by Mr. Durant the Board voted by a margin of 4-0 to withdrawn the motion made at the meeting of November 5, 2012 where the board requested a letter be sent to MassDOT regarding issues with the Route 85 construction project.
  • Executive Session:
The Board voted unanimously by roll call to enter into executive session, not to return to public session, to discuss pending litigation and the Executive Session Minutes of November 13, 2012 , as the discussion of these matters in open session may have a detrimental effect on the bargaining position of the town.
