Minutes –January 11, 2010
  • Call to Order:
Present were Messieurs Durant, Loura, Leeber, Parente, Vereault and Blazar. Ms. Santos was also present.
  • Minutes to be Approved:
Public Session: December 28, 2009
On a motion by Mr. Parente, seconded by Mr. Loura, the Board voted by a margin of 5-0 to approve the minutes.
  • Citizen’s Issues:
  • Meetings and Public Hearings - 7:00 PM:
Selectmen to conduct a hearing and consider approval of an application to transfer of a Wine & Malt Package Store Liquor License at 118 Forest Avenue to Michel Daaboul, President of ZMID, Inc., d/b/a Apply Country Market.
On a motion by Mr. Parente, seconded by Mr. Leeber, the Board voted by a margin of 5-0 to approve the license transfer.
  • General:
Selectmen to consider approval of MSBA enrollment projections for the JFK Middle School.
On a motion by Mr. Loura, seconded by Mr. Parente, the Board voted by a margin of 5-0 to authorize the Chairman to sign the enrollment projection form.
Selectmen to consider approval of Snow & Ice Expense Overdraft in the amount of $100,000.
On a motion by Mr. , seconded by Mr. , the Board voted by a margin of 5-0 to approve the overdraft authority.
  • Town Issues:
Mr. Leeber noted his dissatisfaction with the notice process associated with the Comcast transition to a predominantly digital broadcast system.
  • Correspondence to be Noted by Clerk:
On a motion by Mr. Leeber, seconded by Mr. Durant, the Board voted by a margin of 5-0 to note correspondence.
