  • Citizens’ Issues:
  • Meetings and Public Hearings - 7:00 PM:
Selectmen to conduct Tax Classification hearing to set property tax rates for fiscal year 2016.
  • Licenses:
Selectmen to consider issuing a Christmas Tree Sales License to the Hudson Concord Elks at 91 Park Street for Monday-Friday 2:00PM-9:00PM, Saturday & Sunday 9:00AM-9:00PM.
Selectmen to consider approval of amending the hours of operation of a Common Vitualler license, Mullahy’s at 63A Main Street for Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00AM – 9:00PM.
Selectmen to consider approval of 2016 License renewals for all licensee’s that have met their requirements.
Note:  License requirements may include, passing annual inspection by Bldg. Dept., Fire Dept., and Board of Health, current on all local taxes, and completion of all required forms.
  • Personnel:
Selectmen to consider approval of appointment of Kristina Johnson as Assistant Planning & Community Development Director at grade M8, Step 5, effective December 8, 2015.
Selectmen to consider approval of appointments of the Seasonal Employees for the Fall/Winter 2015-2016 to the Recreation Department.
Selectmen to note the retirement of Patricia Desmond from the Hudson Public Library effective February 8, 2016.
Selectmen to note the retirement of Anthony Marques from the Department of Public Works effective January 2, 2016.
Selectmen to note the resignation of Officer Matthew Donovan from the Police Department effective December 6, 2015.
  • Contracts:
Selectmen to consider approval and authorization to sign contract with Diversified Pump in the amount of $6,669 (LQ) for the replacement of Impeller for the Sewer Main Street Pump Station.
Selectmen to consider approval and authorization to sign a contract with Napa Tools & Equipment in the amount of $6,545 (LQ) for a Rotary 12,000 LB. 2-Post Lift.
Selectmen to consider approval and authorization to sign a contract with MCC in the amount of $8,946.40 for bill printing services.
Note:  For printing, mailing of Real Estate Tax bills, Personal Property Tax bill, Water & Sewer bills, and other tax collection services.
Selectmen to consider approval and authorization to sign contract with Christopher B. Merrill for Snow Plowing and Snow Hauling.
Note:  This is an additional contractor, but the backup contains information on all the FY2016 contractors.
Selectmen to consider signing Chapter 90 Project Request and Environmental Punch list forms for the reconstruction of a portion of Lincoln Street (from Central Street to Apsley Street).
Selectmen to consider approval and authorization to sign a contract with Affordable Care Services LLC in the amount of $9,500 (LQ) to fulfill the Affordable Care Act requirements.
        Note:  Funds for this contract will be from the Health insurance Trust.
  • General:
Selectmen to consider approval of submitting a Curative Special Act in accordance with Chapter 39 of the M.G.L. related to the Special Town Meeting held on November 16, 2015.
Note:  This will correct a 1-day posting deficiency.
Selectmen to designate abutting roadways to the Hudson High School and the Quinn Middle School as School Zones, as required by Chapter 90, Section 18 of the M.G.L., furthermore Selectmen to consider authorizing the Executive Assistant to request from MassDOT, the establishment of a 20mph speed limit in those School Zones.
Selectmen to consider approval and execution of documents for the sale of $1,595,978 in Bond Anticipation Notes.
Note:  This extends temporary borrowing maturity so we can accumulate additional notes to include in our next permanent issue.
Selectmen to consider signing related documents for the submission of the Massachusetts Downtown Initiative (MDI) Technical Assistance grant.
