Minutes of Park Commission Meeting
Held on Tuesday, April 3, 2012
Recreation Office, Town Hall at 7:30 pm

1.      Call Meeting to Order:
Mr. Redding called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm.  Members present were Mr. Redding, Mr. Bowen and Mr. Scafidi.  Also present was Mr. Santos and Mrs. Ghiloni.

2.      Minutes of Meetings:
a. Public Session – January 17, 2012
Mr. Bowen motioned to approve the minutes of the January 17, 2012 minutes as written, seconded by Mr. Scafidi and carried….

b. Public Session – February 28, 2012
Mr. Bowen motioned to approve the minutes of the February 28, 2012 minutes as written, seconded by Mr. Scafidi and carried….

3.      Citizens Issues/Special Interest Groups
No one in attendance.

4.      Personnel:
a. Previous Employee Recommendations.
Mr. Scafidi left the room at this time.

Mr. Bowen motioned to approve the Previous Summer Coordinator and Seasonal Employees in the 4’s and 5’s Program, seconded by Mr. Redding and carried….

        Mr. Scafidi abstained
Mr. Scafidi reentered the room and Mr. Bowen left the office at this time.
Mr. Redding motioned to approve previous summer employees in Playlot, Beach, Outdoor, Sunshine, Track, Tennis, Various and To Be Determined, seconded by Mr. Scafidi and carried…

5.      Director’s Report:
a. Clean Up Volunteers:
Grace Baptist Church – section of ARRT; HHS Track Team – HHS and Riverside Park area; Boys Scout Troop – Cellucci Park splashpad area; ComCast through United Way – Wood Park; Boys Scouts – Danforth Lot; Girls Scouts – Liberty Park; Mosquito Control – Loureiro Property; Beyond Realty – Town Wide Clean-up; Girl Scouts – Tripp’s Pond.


6.      Communications and/or Correspondence to be noted by Commissioners:
Covered under Clean Up Volunteers.

7.      Old Business
a. The roof repair project at the Rimkus Clubhouse will be awarded soon.  Mr. Pistorino is contacting references of the lowest bidder to make a recommendation.
b. Hudson Light and Power is ready to set the pole at Cellucci Park for the camera’s, as well as Mr. Cardinale contacted to hook up electrical.
