Minutes of Park Commission Meeting
Held on Monday, November 16, 2009
At 6:45 pm in the Hudson High School Cafeteria

1.      Call Meeting to Order:
Mr. Bowen called the meeting to order at 6:45pm.  Members present were Mr. Bowen, Mr. Redding, Mr. Busch, as well as Mrs. Ghiloni and Mr. Santos.

2.      Minutes of Meeting:

3.      Citizen’s Issues/Special Interest Groups:
Mr. Redding brought up complaints from downtown businesses regarding the fact that they have seen drug deals taking place at the Cellucci Park.  Mr. Redding suggested surveillance cameras be installed.  Mr. Santos indicated that two companies did visit the park to give us price quotes, but only one responded with a quote of $20,000 to $25,000.  The Director and Assistant will continue to look into this, while contacting the police department to request additional patrolling.

The section of the Rail Trail over the Main Street Bridge has been completed.  Mr. Redding questioned lights such as the one on Washington Street.  The Director did not know whether that was in the plans, but would seek information from Community Development Director.
