B.      Mrs. Ghiloni updated board on progress of South St. Park.  DPW assisted in cutting back some of the costs by doing some excavating and in process found materials, such as gravel, that could be stored and used at a later date.  Certain “elements” have been taken out of the project for now to keep costs down.  In the future, those “elements” can be added back into the park as more funding.

C.      Mr. Redding raised the question of maintenance for new added parks and recreational areas to the town.  Mr. Redding also suggested that Mrs. Ghiloni set-up a meeting between the Park Commissioners and Tony Marques – head of DPW, so that they may try to derive a solution to maintenance of the Rail Trail, as well as, anticipate some of the maintenance issues/concerns we will have with the new South St. Park.

D.      Mr. Redding made a suggestion to the Mrs. Ghiloni and Mr. Santos that we try to incorporate events and/or programs for adults into Pumpkin Fest this upcoming year.  Suggestions made were to call local RV vendors and local car dealerships and have them display their vehicles the day of the event.
