6:00pm – Discussion of 481 Main Street
All members have reviewed the proposed Conservation Restriction from Mr. Lyons, representing Mrs. Gerwick and the property on 481 Main Street. Mr. Parent stated he was against the purchase from the beginning for half a million dollars, where the proposed OSRD development with 17 houses would generate a considerable amount of tax dollars for the town. Mr. D’Amelio stated that he was in favor previously of preservation of the property, but that under the conditions in the proposed CR he was not. Ms. Ghiloni stated that she always had the impression that the CR was to keep the property as open space – raw land as it is today, but the proposed CR Reserved Rights section allows for a significant number of uses by the Grantor.
