Meeting Minutes

7:00 PM Tom called the meeting to order.
The Minutes for August 12, 2016 were read and accepted.
General Board business was discussed.
Don Beal was nominated by Tom to serve as Scribe. Ron seconded the motion. The motion passed. Ron Seaburg was nominated by Tom to serve as Secretary. Don seconded the motion.The motion passed.
Tom led The Board in a discussion of the Zoning Board’s interpretation of its Special
Permit Authority. He noted that The Town of Holland, Guide to the Permitting and License Process, May 1999, Zoning Board of Appeals states the following: The Zoning Board of Appeals shall only administer Special Permits to expand or alter an existing nonconforming building(s) as provided by Holland Bylaws. See: Section IV, Table 1, Number 57, and, Section XI, 11.01, b.
Tom moved that the Board follow the License and Permitting process as stated above.
Ron Seaburg seconded the motion. Voting in favor of the motion were Tom Kenney, Don
Beal, and Ron Seaburg.

Rocco Carabetta, 19 Craig Road, neighbor, attended the meeting.
Tom brought the following to the applicants attention: They need a new plot plan, they cannot build in the 14.5’ grandfathered setback, and they must accurately show the location of the new addition on the new plot plan.
A Continuance was scheduled for September 13 at 7:30 PM.
7:55 Tom moved to adjourn the meeting. Ron seconded the motion. The motion passed.
