Meeting minutes for July 16, 2015
Members present: Peggy Lowell, Lynn Harhay, Janet Mullins; Jessi McCarthy, Director
The Chairman called the meeting to order at 4:08PM
Old Business
- June minutes were approved by a vote of 3-0
- Director’s report: attached
- Summer Reading prizes were discussed; $50 from book sale, Six Flags 4-pack, Big E 2-pack, 5 -$10 Cinemagic tickets
-Two High School volunteers
- Building project: The Holland Planning Board’s survey was checked for questions; Spaceboards for a dream Holland Library will be posted at the Library, Town Hall, Community Center and on Facebook
- Book Sale: The Book Sale is scheduled for August 15 from 10-4PM; prizes for summer reading will be drawn
- Building Maintenance: The tree is getting watered on a regular schedule; no date has been set for the porch repair; Jessi called Bob Garon for repair of the outside light fixture
- Friends start-up: This item was not discussed
- Video return: A trial of video return to the book box was approved by a vote of 3-0
New Business
- Form for volunteers: Jessi will check out what is needed for a volunteer form and find out if it needs to go to Town Counsel or the Selectboard
- New wording for the Library’s fines policy: An amendment to the fines policy would read “privileges will be restored with a 10% payment at each visit;” Jessi will check with CWMars first before the amendment is voted on
- Next meeting: August 20, 2015
