Holland Conservation Commission
Minutes of Commission meeting held on April 9, 2013.
7:00 p.m. Chairperson called the meeting to order. The minutes of March 26, 2013 were read and accepted and will be distributed.
Present were: James Wettlaufer, Chairperson, Marcia Beal and Patricia Caron. Absent: Marianne Martone and Neal Byrne. Observers: Fran Gallo and Paul Roman.
Fran Gallo and Paul Roman have agreed to become members of the Holland Conservation Commission. A letter of recommendation will be presented to the Board of Selectmen for their approval.
Members who are familiar with Ed Dailey’s project at 2 Sandy Beach Rd. to repair and replace a septic system were not present, again lacking a quorum, and in the absence of the Petitioner, the Hearing has been continued until April 23, 2013. In reviewing the Notice of Intent it was noted that there is a list of abutters but no proof of mailing. Mark Farrell of Green Hill Engineering will be notified.
7:20 p.m. William Pucci of 31 Massaconic Tr. represented Walter and Maryann Kelly of 1 White Dr., Map R-07-C-01 to build a 3 car garage. After review and having no Conservation issues, James Wettlaufer signed Procedure Sheet #1528.
7:40 p.m. David Kaitbenski (Construction and Trucking) and Sparky (Mark) LaMontagne (Builder) presented their project and plot plan at 25 Old County Rd. for owner Joe Niemiroski. They were informed a Notice of Intent would be required.
8:00 p.m. We received from Nathan Gumlaw, former Chairman of the Conservation Commission, who resigned due to a job promotion, an email that he received from Tracy Libretto of 221 Mashapaug Rd. Having completed the directive of their Enforcement Order, she questioned what further action is required. James Wettlaufer, present Chairperson, will contact Tracy Libretto.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
