Holland Conservation Commission
~
Minutes of Commission meeting held on March 23, 2010.

Present: Mary vandenBerg, Chairperson, Marcia Beal, Patricia Caron, Nathan Gumlaw.  Absent: James Wettlaufer.

Chairperson called the meeting to order. The minutes of the March 9, 2010 meeting were read and accepted and will be distributed.

Mail:

1)      We received a Request for Determination of Applicability (RDA) from Cold Spring Environmental Consultant, Inc. on behalf of Dennis and Deborah Bernashe for their septic system repair at 1 Island Rd., Map 10R-A-14.
2)      We received a Request for Determination of Applicability (RDA) from Rudy Perkins, Project Manager and Staff Attorney, HAP, Inc. for their project of a Preliminary Site Plan/Holland Senior Housing at 40 Brimfield Rd., Map 13, and Parcel 17.
3)      We received a Forest Cutting Plan for Gregory and Lori Fielding of 38 Wales Rd. approved on 3-05-2010 by Carmine L. Angeloni, Service Forester and NHESP (Natural Heritage and Endangered Species Program).

Due to the scheduled Town Caucus on April 13, 2010 the following Public Hearings will be scheduled for April 6, 2010 if approved by the Applicants.

1.      Dennis and Deborah Bernashe at 7:30 p.m.
2.      HAP, Inc at 8:00 p.m.

Members signed the Extension Permit for Orders of Conditions for DEP File No. 184-129 for the Holland Board of Selectmen (Applicant) for work at the Hamilton Reservoir (annual seeding). This extension will expire on June 9, 2013.
A copy will be sent to Aquatic Control Technology Inc. for their Aquatic Management Program at Hamilton Reservoir as requested.

7:40 p.m.  Roberta Kuhnly of 28 Stony Hill Rd., Map R-35-C-13 presented her Procedure Sheet No. 1382.  Her house is leaning due to the movement of the front piers; requires foundation repairs. Deck is also in poor repair and needs to be torn down and rebuilt.  All were in favor of the project. Mary vandenBerg signed the procedure Sheet.

7:50 p.m.  Glen Anchutz of 30 Old Acres Rd., Map R-23-B-7 spoke to us regarding his lakeside rip rap wall which has been crushed by ice.  Following discussion, a site visit was proposed.  Also, he presented Procedure Sheet No. 1383 to put in a basement under existing Utility room.  Utility room would then become a bathroom.  Ron Lapierre, Contractor was also present.  All were in favor of the project. Mary vandenBerg signed the procedure Sheet.

8:25 p.m.  Mark Farrell, of  Green Hill Engineering, David Hemsworth, Applicant and Don Garfield, Builder were present to present their Notice of Intent and a check for the Filing Fee for their project at 2 Collette Dr., Map R-14-A-3 to tear down house and rebuild, also a driveway, septic system, well and associated grading.  Public Hearing was agreed to by all to be held on 4-27-2010 at 7:30 p.m.

8:50 p.m.  The HAP, Inc. RDA was discussed and a site visit is to be done by members on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 6:00 p.m.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:00 PM.
