Minutes of Commission meeting held on March 10, 2009.

Present: Mary vandenBerg, Chairperson, Marcia Beal, Patricia Caron, Howard Fife, Nathan Gumlaw and James Wettlaufer.
7:15 p.m. Chairperson called the meeting to order.
The Minutes of February 24, 2009 were read and accepted and will be distributed.
7:30 p.m. Corey Brote requested a Certificate of Compliance for the project at 88 Sturbridge Rd., DEP File #184-182. This request was originally made by Dennis Brote on September 23, 2008 where he was denied “because the grass is not sufficiently grown to provide erosion control to the wetland”. He was also denied on October 14, 2008 for the same reason. Agent Howard Fife, of late, has been hampered by snow covering the areas. He will check the site on March 11, 2009 and they will be notified.
7:40 p.m. Richard Haller of 75 Sturbridge Rd., Map 13/E/03.03 presented a picture and diagram of his property located adjacent to wetlands on the Sturbridge Rd/Dug Hill Rd. where he wants to remove 3 trees that are shading his vegetable garden area. Motion was made and all were in favor of approving the project. Mary vandenBerg signed Procedure Sheet #2009-N.
7:50 p.m. The Public Hearing for Trenton Carlson of 174 Mashapaug Rd., Map 10A-6.02 to construct a driveway for a single family home was held. No abutters came. No engineer came. Mr. Carlson reviewed his plot plan that was drafted by Seth L.Lagoie & Associates. Our concern is the water runoff onto Mashapaug Rd. and into Hamilton Reservoir due to the steep incline where the driveway needs to be constructed by State Law (property having been created by an ANR). A list of requirements was given to Mr. Carlson which would enable the engineers to create a plot plan addressing our concerns. All were in favor of continuing the Public Hearing to March 24, 2009 at 7:30 p.m.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:10 p.m.
