Minutes of Commission meeting held on April 8, 2008.
~
Present: Mary vandenBerg, Chairperson, Steven Anderstrom, Patricia Caron and Rolf Hilbig. Absent: Howard Fife and James Wettlaufer.
7:00 p.m. Chairperson called the meeting to order.
7:05 p.m. The minutes of April 1, 2008 were read and accepted and will be distributed.
7:20 p.m. Steve Bouchard of 1 Mashapaug Rd. spoke to us regarding the installation of an aluminum dock. All were in favor of the project since he is aware that the dock must be removed in October.
7:35 p.m. The scheduled Public Hearing for a Notice of Intent for Blaire Ritchie of 22 Brandon St., DEP File #184-0225, Map R1-C-9.1 to repair a septic system was presented by Mark Farrell of Green Hill Engineering. No abutters came. Following discussion, all were in favor of closing the Hearing at 7:55 p.m.
8:05 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Flagg of Roberts Park Rd. sought advice regarding the cutting of a pine tree in the right-of-way adjacent to his property and the replacement of his decaying railroad ties wall lakeside with a Versolok wall. He was informed that he would need permission from all the neighbors with the deeded right to use the right-of-way before being allowed to cut the tree. The lakeside wall repair was more of a re-construction with additional backfill to level the property. A site visit is pending - work would not be done until the October drawdown. It was strongly suggested that he inquire of his neighbors with similar walls as to their long-term satisfaction.
Motion to adjourn was made, seconded and approved by all. Meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
Respectfully submitted by:
Patricia J. Caron, Secretary
Copies to: Select Board, Town Clerk, Board of Health, Planning Board, Building Inspector, Highway Surveyor, ZBA, File and HCC Chairperson.
