Holland Conservation Commission
Minutes of Commission meeting held on March 21, 2006.
Present: Mary vandenBerg, Chairperson, Steven Anderstrom, Patricia Caron and Rolf Hilbig. Absent: Howard Fife, Helen Kreiger and James Wettlaufer.
7:00 p.m. Chairperson called the meeting to order.
7:05 p.m. Minutes of Commission Meeting held on March 14, 2006 were read, accepted and will be distributed.
7:10 p.m. Members signed the Determination of Applicability for Christopher Shackway of 306 Mashapaug Rd. and Teresa Kukolja of 33 Pine Tree Dr. Appropriate copies and mailings will be done.
7:30 p.m. Francis Gregoire of 60 Wales Rd. showed us his project of map 16, parcel 10-1 - lot 1-B drawn by Sherman and Woods, Engineers. It appears that now they desire to move the house into the buffer zone. We made copies of the map and Howard Fife, Agent will investigate the property to determine whether a Determination of Applicability or a Notice of Intent will be required for this project.
7:50 p.m. David Buccelli presented Procedure Sheet #2005-1054 issued to Zachary Scott of 20 Collette Dr., map R-14-A-12 to remove 1 dead maple and top branches of another maple. Motion to accept the procedure was made and accepted by all. Procedure Sheet signed by Mary vandenBerg.
8:00 p.m. Agent Howard Fife’s written report states that he investigated J.A. Scott’s property at 12 Leno Rd and found that Site A trees near the house should be no problem in cutting but Site B on the waters edge the red maples should not be cut as that would cause shoreline erosion. Mr. Scott will be called and asked to attend an April 4, 2006 meeting.
He also looked at Butterworth Rd. detention basins, which are not according to plan. He spoke to Andy Cormier and was informed that what was there was only temporary and permanent ones are to be built.
Motion to adjourn made by Steven Anderstrom, seconded and approved by all. Meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
