Holland Conservation Commission
Minutes of Commission meeting held on March 14, 2006.
Present: Mary vandenBerg, Chairperson, Patricia Caron, Howard Fife, Rolf Hilbig and James Wettlaufer. Absent: Steven Anderstrom and Helen Kreiger.
7:00 p.m. Chairperson called the meeting to order.
7:05 p.m. Minutes of Commission Meeting held on February 28, 2006 were read, accepted and will be distributed.
7:15 p.m. Procedure Sheet #2005-971 issued to Teresa Kukolja of 33 Pine Tree Dr., Map #R41-B-16 to construct an attached deck to the South side of the existing structure was seeking a Determination of Applicability. Having been to the ZBA and gaining their approval for the project, a motion to give a Negative Determination was made. Seconded and approved by all. Mary vandenBerg signed the Procedure Sheet with the conditions: “agreed to by the ZBA”.
7:35 p.m. Peggy DeVellis of Hamilton Dr. wants to have 3 dead Junipers removed and 1 small fruit tree cut and also have all shrubs trimmed - no objections were given.
7:40 p.m. Procedure Sheet #2004-947 issued to Christopher Shackway of 306 Mashapaug Rd., map R-7-D-05 whose continued Public Hearing for a Determination of Applicability was held. No abutters were present. He brought in a narrative explaining how he would be entering and existing the property by way of Mashapaug Rd. With this agreement, a motion to give a Negative Determination was approved. Seconded and approved by all. Mary vandenBerg signed the Procedure Sheet with the conditions: “agreement to enter and exit property by way of Mashapaug Rd.”.
8:00 p.m. Kristin LaPlante notarized signatures to the Certificate of Compliance issued to Escape Estates, Lot 6, Mashapaug Rd., DEP file #184-166.
Members signed Vendor Vouchers paying the Republican for Legal Ads of Clarence Soper and Premier Asset and postage re-imbursement.
8:15 p.m. Holly Rutkowski of 22 Stony Hill Rd. spoke of her concerns regarding Mike Joy’s expressed interest in planning to remove pine trees along the waterfront enabling him to put up a dock. We informed her to advise Mr. Joy to come to the HCC.
Motion to adjourn made by Rolf Hilbig, seconded and approved by all. Meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
