REPORTS:

OUTREACH WORKER: Deb Tierney (report submitted after meeting)
On Dec 17th, Jessica DuPont from SHINE talked about Medicare and Part D Prescription Drug up dates. On Dec 19th the seniors held their annual pot luck Christmas party. Eddy C., the one man harmonica band entertained and we had a lively visit from Santa and two elves that came from the Holland Church Youth Group to dance with the seniors. We have had over 30 applications so far for fuel assistance. $2,400 in Butterworth funds have been dispersed to fuel vendors. Not everyone who applies for assistance qualifies due to various reasons. In a number of cases there is missing information which I then forward to VOC and they follow up. There is a conference on Jan 11th at the Worcester senior center “Consumers’ utility rights and fuel assistance for elders” that I would like to go to.  There is no charge for this conference.
