SELECT BOARD MINUTES FOR MEETING
April 14, 2015

Present: Lynn Arnold, Larry Mandell
Lynn Arnold called the meeting to order at 6:02 pm
Ms. Arnold announced Michael Kennedy’s resignation
Board signed BAN renewal October 2011 Storm Loan for the amount of
$158,375.74
Mr. Mandell motion to appoint Melissa Palmer as Assistant Activities Coordinator
For the Community Center. Ms. Arnold 2nd. So voted
Announced Anne Gobi hours for April 15th 1:30 – 2:30 here in the community room
Appointment:
Eric Carson reported on the successful completion of the basketball game between the Holland PD and Holland Youth All Stars. The game raised $800.00. With these funds all the youth in Holland will be able to play basketball regardless of ability to pay the fees. Ms. Carson expressed appreciation and thanks to all involved and especially the Holland Police Department for being so proactive with the youth of Holland.
Mr. Mandell also expressed his appreciation for Chief Haughey’s style of policing.
Public Access
Kimberly Hermanson spoke about the current internal problem the Board of Health is having. She asked the Select Board what they are doing about the problems and asked that they contact town counsel in regard to the alleged missing documents. Ms. Hermanson stated she wanted an answer by next week.
Mr. Mandell made a motion to refer the question to Bacon and Wilson. Ms. Arnold 2nd. So voted.
Kelli Robbins stated that the law firm may not have time to answer back to the town by the next meeting date which will be next Tuesday the 21st of April.
Ms. Hermanson stated that if they couldn’t respond by then that the Select Board should get different town counsel. Christine McCooe asked when the flash drive disappeared. Kenneth Ference stated it was last year.
Motion to adjourn at 6:22 pm by Mr. Mandell, 2nd Ms. Arnold, meeting adjourned.
